Looking Back at FutureStack14, Loggly Post Event Wrap Up

Phew! I am just getting a chance to sit down and think about everything that happened at New Relic’s FutureStack14. What a great event for anyone who cares about delighting their customers through the web, congrats to all at New Relic who made it happen!

At Loggly, we were proud to sponsor this unique event designed to help us celebrate, discuss, learn, and be inspired by the innovations around modern software.

FutureStack stands out from other events in our minds because of how well it caters to its audience: talented developers. It was well attended, well covered and lived up to it’s namesake focusing on what’s next in the New Relic product pipeline. The Future of FutureStack wasn’t limited to software, they offered a cool, gamified badge networking experience, complete with Easter eggs featuring all the best Internet-famous cats.  Even the brief taxi strike couldn’t hold back the appeal, and we were thrilled that our FutureStack #InsiderGuide had over 500 views and people scored some free Uber and Lyft rides with it.

San Francisco’s beautiful historic Fort Mason Center was the perfect location. Both pavilions felt comfortably full, and New Relic got it right with complimentary Four Barrel Coffee, that we were most happy to sponsor.  Lunch was a success with 8+ food truck options (mmm, can we say Curry Up Now?) and everyone found something they loved.

We wanted to share our experience for those of you who went and want to relive the event and also for anyone who couldn’t make it this year.

Shout Outs to our Contest Winners

Earlier in the week, we gave away our last ticket to FutureStack14. Congrats to our winner @chrisTesene – we hope you had a fabulous time!

We wanted to continue giving DevOps professionals like Chris a chance to attend and learn from the best conferences (like FS14), so we ran a contest throughout FutureStack14 to give away a free full pass to our next sponsored event, AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas.  We ran a giveaway both days of FutureStack to give one lucky individual a free full pass to re:Invent in November.  Congratulations to winner @adamcox! Looking forward to seeing you next month!

Follow us on Twitter @Loggly to keep up with our future giveaways (plus get the latest news on DevOps and log management).
