Come See Us at the Game Developers Conference 2016

By Sven Dummer 08 Mar 2016

We are excited to get out of the office to attend the Game Developers Conference (GDC) once again. It’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from our office here in San Francisco.

A huge number of Loggly users are from the gaming industry. These crazy beavers make a living developing games or operating the surrounding backend infrastructure, which, by the way, can be fantastically complex and technically challenging.

In fact, when I look at the technologies used in games, I’m often blown away by the level of sophistication required to make a good game work. Aside from the creative capabilities needed to come up with a good game idea in the first place, game development demands contributions from a breadth of disciplines that is second to none in the IT industry. Game developers have skills ranging from graphic design, story flowcharting, music and sound effects, to running a large server infrastructure including web servers, billing, and granular analytics system. All that with near real-time requirements, availability and performance standards so high they would make most average IT folks break out into a cold sweat.

I think this is the reason why we have so many Loggly users from the game development industry. These guys and gals are dead serious about having their stuff together. When it comes to operating their applications, they don’t play. No pun intended 😉

Come Meet Us!

If you are attending GDC, come by to meet the Loggly team. We will be at booth #2305, and we will have our very own little video game with us. Needless to say, it will send log data to Loggly so we can show you some really cool features that help game developers get the most out of their logs.

Our friends from PagerDuty will be right next to us (booth #2306). PagerDuty is one of our partners, and they provide one of the best incident management solutions we know. And because Loggly and PagerDuty are a match made in heaven, we thought we give you chance to experience (virtual) heaven: When you visit both our booths you will be entered to win an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset!

Ain’t that good news …!
